During Nov.24^th-26^th, 2019, Dr. Kyo-Seon Kim visited our university and attended the Frontier Forum of Chemistry &Chemical Engineering, which was hold by our college. There were about two hundred participants including other 15 invited Chinese speakers (youth outstanding scholars) from all over the country as well as research relevant faculties and students from various departments attended this forum. Dr. Kim gave a wonderful talk with the title of “Recent researches on preparation and application of nanoparticles at Kangwon National University (KNU)” on 25^th,the topics on particle formation and growth in plasma and hydrothermal and flame reactorson development of nanostructures were discussed. His report provided a broad perspective for better understanding of nanostructure development and had drawn great interests from audience.

  Dr. Kyo-Seon Kim, is a famous professor in the field of chemical engineering at Kangwon National University (KNU), South Korea. he received his doctor’s degree from University of Cincinnati, USA in 1989. From 1989 to current, he has been working in KNU. He has many experiences working as visiting professors, such as in EPFL(Switzerland), in Hitachi, Ltd. and Kyushu University (Japan), and inDuPond (USA) and so on during these years. His research interests focus on synthesis of functional nanoparticles and their application for medical use and energy conversion and storage. Up to now, he has published more than100 papers in international journals including top journals of AIChE, CES, Ind. Eng. Che. Res. in chemical engineering.
